Hi, according to ..

.. I added the pwd and S+ asks me always when I open the settings. So far so good.
But a newly created settings backup is NOT encrypted. I greyed out the sensitive parts of my script settings :

Is there an additional setting I have to set? Is it a bug?

Quote:a newly created settings backup is NOT encrypted What exactly do you mean by this part? I just want to make sure I understand the source of this, as in are you referring to exporting the settings from S+? Or just copying the StrokesPlus.net.bin file? It's been a long time since I've looked at that, but I did just set a password for myself and viewed the StrokesPlus.net.bin file and confirmed there was no readable text in it, removed the password and could see plain text again. So it seems to be working, at least in my case, anyway.

Hi, thanks for your quick answer. I was talking about exporting the settings from S+ to a .spexport file.

Ah, yes that is not part of the encryption, only the main StrokesPlus.net.bin file is. The settings export needs to be able to easily deserialize by anyone importing the settings and I never built anything in to handle encrypting/decrypting in any of the import/export functions as that seemed to be more of a sharing function.
I would recommend backing up the StrokesPlus.net.bin file instead to keep things secure.
