Hi
The written instructions for this utility are quite confusing for me, although, I am sure I could pick it up with a little tuition.
There is no youtube video available which helps me to understand how I should begin using strokeit+.

I dont understand computer code, so would benefit from learning how to copy and edit existing commands. I have tried this on my own but unsuccessfully .
I copied the paste command, and edited it to ctrl z , instead of ctr v. I also assigned a new gesture. I expected this to execute the undo command, but no luck.

I would love to see a video, which walks me through the basic steps of a specific action. The above, For example. Also, how to run a program like notepad and how to use the text expander. These could be separate videos ideally.

I cant speak for anyone else, but this would really benefit myself. I want to dig into this and I need some sort of foothold to get me going. Can some one please spend a little time to make a stroke it plus for dummies video.
Thank you

Neil

I definitely agree with you!

It's one of those things on my list of things to get to someday.

Too much to do, too little time - not specifically to S+, just between work, personal life, other projects, etc. I get spread a little thin.

Also, if you join the Discord server, it can be easier to get assistance, from myself or others.

Primarily because forum posts are just time consuming, have delays, not as easy to just screen-grab and paste into chat, etc.

Thanks Rob. I tried the link you sent. I registered, but I am not permitted to send messages to the board there.

Maybe someone else on this forum could help with my request. A short video capture explaining how to create the undo command and associate it with a mouse gesture.

Also, a similar short vid showing how to add to, and use the text expander.

I'm sorry for asking again, and I wont persist. I can get some limited use from the program as it is. These 2 things however could equip me with enough information to strive forward, hopefully.

Thanks

Neil

Did you change channels on the left side?

The #announcements channel is locked, as that's just for my use to communicate things.

So for Undo, you copied the Copy action, then pasted it right?

Then you changed the gesture to something else and changed the hot key to Control+Z, right?

Is this all in the Global Actions area?

The gesture that you selected, it's not used in any other action, is it?

Text expansion just helps you type short sequences and have them replaced by typically longer text.
