Starting with version 0.2.8.1, all releases will be published with separate trace builds for the installer and portable releases.

These require the normal version to already be installed, since they don't include all of the DLLs and other files.

The installer version makes a separate Start menu item named "StrokesPlus.net Trace" in the StrokesPlus.net program group and can be uninstalled separately, only removing the two files it added and the Start menu shortcut.

For the portable version, just extract the two files into the same folder as S+.net and run the StrokesPlus.net_Trace.exe

These trace builds are really just for troubleshooting issues, usually something I would ask you to do and send me the logs. But you can certainly use them and view the log files for...fun?

The location of the log files is generally a Log sub-folder of where your settings file (StrokesPlus.net.bin) resides. The default location is "C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\StrokesPlus.net\Log\"

The trace file names are timestamped when you started the trace version and continues logging until you exit S+.net.

Starting with version 0.3.3.9, you can also use this line to add your own entry to the trace log:

That function will only do something in the trace build, but it will not cause a script error in the non-trace build...it just does nothing.

I do NOT recommend running these for every day use, as the tracing calls slow down the app and the log files can become quite large and waste disk space!
