What are the correct rules for writing a conditional statement script?

In the old version, the script to compare stroke lengths worked fine In the .net version, if I import it as it is and make it work, it will only be pasted, and the previous condition, ctrl alt pgdn combination key, will not be executed. The script is as follows
if gey-gsy > 150 then acSendKeys("^%{pgdn}") else acSendKeys("^v") end
And I didn't know how to do the steps process, so I omitted it and wrote only the script part. Please advise what are the correct writing rules~
