I wonder if it's possible to toggle mute on and off just an app or game that is currently in focus. This would be great so I don't have to open up W11 Volume Mixer and manually mute the app on and off. If possible how do I do it?

Nothing built into S+, your best bet would be to find a utility that someone else has made and invoke it from S+ - the volume mixer is a tricky things to work with these days.
