Dark mode was added to S+ in last few updates, maybe your coding area colors are not set up properly.

Please see post #14 of this discussion where Rob shared default colors for dark and normal modes.

You can execute code from a hotkey if you wish, maybe make a night/day mode toggle.
Please take backup of your S+ .bin file (or preferably the entire S+ folder) before trying different color schemes.
